The Quarantine Public Library project is an initiative by artists Katie Garth and Tracy Honn from Philadelphia, USA. This innovative project, launched in July 2020, invited a select group of international artists, poets, and writers to create unique one-sheet, 8-page books that showcased various perspectives on the global pandemic. This final round of invitations in 2021 aimed to emphasise the worldwide impact of the pandemic, so I was invited to contribute to the project.
My contribution to this collection, titled 'Zoombie Script' delves into the not-so-essential notes from my experience with online teaching during quarantine. Focused on the peculiarities of virtual classes, since the beginning of the pandemic I started collecting routine phrases such as "Can you hear me?", "Can you turn your mic off, please?" or "Wait a sec, I'll share my screen". The original plan was to create a series of posters, t-shirts or mugs. However, when the invite to join the Quarantine Public Library came in, I didn't think twice about telling that story through the zine!

To visually narrate the unique online teaching experience, I utilised a dynamic blend of two colours, iconography and dynamic typesetting. Through this visual storytelling approach, my contribution to the Quarantine Public Library encapsulates the distinctive vocabulary and nuances of online teaching during the pandemic.
The collection was launched on 15th December 2021, and in 2023, the Library of Congress acknowledged the significance of the Quarantine Public Library by adding it to their highly curated Zine Web Archive.
