Unlike some design projects that lack a personal connection, the visual identity project for Braso holds a special significance for me. As a fellow Brazilian pursuing a PhD in Design at The University of Newcastle Australia (UON), I discovered a dozen other Brazilians also conducting their PhD research at the University, and at least half of them started their journeys at the same time I started mine. They founded Braso, UON's Brazilian Society, and I was entrusted with creating the society's visual identity. I delved into the essence of the Brazilian spirit, weaving it into the design through a carefully curated blend of a letterpress-inspired typeface and the dynamic hues of the Brazilian flag, built into a vibrant composition. The result? It is a visually striking representation that resonates with the rich culture and diverse personalities of the Brazilian community at UON.

The main use of the identity was for social media, but I also developed collaterals for an exhibition during an event, which included a series of posters about Brazilian culture.
